What We Believe
About God:
God is the Eternal Creator of the Universe (Exodus 20:2)
About the Trinity:
There is One God and yet Three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 45:5; James 2:19)
About Jesus:
Jesus is fully God and fully man. He is the God of the universe. (John 1:18; 10:30) He is equal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 45:21 & Titus 2:13)
About the Bible:
The Bible alone is the Word of God. It should not be added to or subtracted from. (Rev 22:18-20).
About the Afterlife:
Those that accept Christ will receive the gift of Eternal life. (John 3:16) Those who reject Christ spend eternity in hell. (Rev 20:11-15)
About Salvation:
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is freely offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. (John 3:16-17)
The Vision
That God would raise up a community of believers of diverse cultures, financial status, and religious heritage that will be united by a common cause and vision to produce a God honoring, evangelistic church that is centered on the will of God.
Seeing people committed to the "life-development process" in one another, showing respect, and honor to each other by providing an atmosphere of love, acceptance and forgiveness. Continually building a greater relationship with Christ.
A Congregation that is committed to serving Christ and His will, bringing "restoration," that is wholeness to humanity; wholeness to the individual spirit, soul and body; and wholeness to families.
A body of believers committed to meet regularly to pray, worship and fellowship, helping to promote an atmosphere where people feel the freedom and the liberty to join in and fulfill their purpose in the body of Christ; where the messages and the teachings are relevant to the lives and times of today.

Step of Faith Ministries was founded in 2006 by Pastor Richard & Yvette Gaston. It is a Christ-centered multicultural church. Making a difference in the Bakersfield Community. Reaching the lost, backslidden and encouraging and equipping people our community.
